Narva trip (1)

Tere sõbrad,

Last thursday in the afternoon I went with my good friend Maja to the main trainstation in Tallinn. There we met other exchangestudents and together we took the train to Narva.
First, Narva is a town in the east of estonia on the border to russia. Only a bridge separates the two countries. Only 3% of Narvas population is estonian, the rest russian. And second actually I had no idea what to exapect there.
Well, we arrived three hours later after our departure.
My first thought about Narva: Okay, this is estonia? It isn´t a pretty town. But yeah I have to say, this town was totally ruined after the second world war and then came the soviet union. They builded a lot of huge and ugly houses and the architecture to this point was like: many people as possible to accommodate and "beautiful architecture was incidental". Till that it didn`t changed a lot.

We met on the Narva trainstation the other exchangestudents from Tartu, Pärnu...
In fact we were around around 30 exchangestudents with 3 Teamers. From there we went along the Narva river to our sleeping place where we stayed for two days. Narva Estonian School.
After our arriving in school we went to shop and bought for ourselfs food for the next days..candies and so on.
It was crazy. Now we exchangestudents are on this point that we can speak kinda estonian and we wanna try talking, but if you wanna go to Narva you better speak russian.
At beginng of our trip our teamers told us if we speak estonian or english we should talk better silently.  Also they told us crazy stories that you should better do not go alone outside.
After our purchase we went back there we talked, listened to music, some played guitar and piano.
At oo.oo we went to bed. (bed=airmatresses..sleepingbag)

On next day we got up at 8.oo o, at 8.3o we had breakfast and after this we had some lessons with the students there. We talked about our experiences and held some presentations about our homecountries. It was kinda fun.
Then we had freetime, so we discovered Narva by our own. Made a lot of photos and drunk a coffee.
At 17.oo we had to be back in school, cause then we had a "games-dance-night" with estonian students. It was as well fun. As you probably already red in my Mid-Year-Siminar-Post we exchangestudents are awesome dancers.
I don´t know how long we were awake. But yeah it doesn`t matter how long we were awake cause on next day we were able to sleep till 11.oo.
So we slept quite long, then we packed our things, cleaned up and went out and made some pictures for the YFU-Office. After this we walked to the Narva Castle there we chilled and had as well a guide who showed us the castle.  I guess it was nice, but I was kinda sleepy. According to this we went to trainstation, sayed goodbye to the others and took the train back.

That was actually everything we made in Narva. Hope you enjoyed this small text.
